I want to start my blog by presenting a new service I have just started to use. I have to say that using this service changed the I access and read entertainment news and articles on the Internet.

I don’t know if this is the beginning of a revolution in the way people browse the Web and read news and articles about Music, Movies, Books and Entertainment in general but for me there is no doubt it’s going to be a big hit. It started with blogs and now you see it everywhere on the Web. Maybe you did not notice it. I am talking about this small orange icon that mushroomed recently on many sites. Inside this icon only three letters RSS or XML. I am sure that people who don’t know about blogging think what the hell is that? Just to give you some background information, RSS (Reach Site Summary) is a text based file (XML format) that allows describing news or Web content that is available for feeding (or syndication).

One month ago, I decided to give it a go. I subscribed to StepNewz (2), a free web based news reader and aggregator. I started to use Stepnewz' services and I was amazed how easy it was to add news feed in my news reader. After only one day I was able to read the latest news and articles about music, movies, books, comics, magazines, celebrities, humor of my favorite entertainment web sites and blogs from only one site. There are many different news readers and aggregators but I have found Stepnewz very useful. It already has many news feeds available on its site so you just need to bookmark the feeds you want to track and you can access them from your own personal account.
